Avión Tequila revamped its packaging in mid-2018 to reflect the single origin for its agave. All agaves used in the production of the tequila is sourced from the town of Jesus Maria, located at 7,000 ft. above sea level in the Los Altos region of Jalisco, Mexico.
The tequila is distilled in small batches and finished with a "proprietary" ultra-slow filtration. Each bottle is hand-filled and labeled with batch and bottle number and displays the number of months the tequila is aged. For the añejo, that is 24 months in American oak ex-bourbon barrels.

Tequila AñejoDistilled from 100% blue Weber agave, it is aged for at least a year in barrels not to exceed 600 liters. Any type of wood is acceptable, but ex-bourbon barrels are most common. Añejo tequilas are also known as "aged" or "extra aged".

Tasting Notes
"A lot of vanilla on the nose reminds me of flat cream soda. Fresh mint and sage on the tip of the tongue, it evolves to dried apricot. I find it very sweet so if you’d like, you can mix with a little Fever Tree tonic water which will help to dry it out. But I would leave this one alone. It is quite a sipper and a great valued tequila priced for under $60."
