Reviewed August 4, 2020 (edited November 6, 2020)Very oak-y in the nose. This batch was only 113 proof, but seemed a little hotter on the nose. Palate is very long, smooth with some good spice spice. -

Reviewed August 3, 2020 (edited February 25, 2022)Have liked all the Belle Meades ive had with the Sherry cask being amazing. This is more of a straight shooter. Follows the standard release with a solid bump in intensity. This mgp juice is thoroughly enjoyable. Singed pie crust with melted buttery caramel dominate the nose and palate. Toasted oak , cinnamon and baking spice round it out with a strong dose of rye. Finish is long and rich with more spicy cinnamon, butter and dry oak. Its pretty direct bourbon and pretty damn delicious. Proof is easy to handle and the flavors are deep. Ok its not super complex and does not make you question the universe. It is AC/DC like with tremendous power and likeability despite being somewhat simplistic. Great example of quality sourced product. Its a wonderful pour and I recommend.....90/10056.0 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed July 24, 2020 (edited August 6, 2020)60% “I just chopped down a tree in the winter for shelter, 40% “I just baked a spiced pear pie for the holidays” kind of vibe. This juice kept changing expressions from pour to pour. In the neck, it was immensely sweet with maple/brown sugar vibes. After a week or so, it opened up with forest floor notes. Honest scotch vibes with a mix of toasty cedar/sandlewood on the nose. Spiced pear mixed in a dense maple syrupy mouth feel/sweetness. Would 10/10 recommend if you’re into bourbon with a wildly shifting flavor profile.55.0 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed July 21, 2020There are baking spices, vanilla, salt, and dark fruits, especially raisins, on the nose. It is very spicy on the tongue, with vanilla, burnt sugar, and dark fruits. This is very rich and warming, towing the line between spicy and fiery.
