On the front end of the palate is like a woodford reserve double oaked. Then some cornish flavor on the after taste. Smell is not the best.

Easy on the nose. Taste more dry fruit and maple more than any hint of chocolate. Maple flavor is enhanced in combination with the hot/spicy finish. For the price point not a bad juice.

Drinks at 125 proof. Very forward caramel and vanilla notes with cherry or other dark red fruit.

Benchmark Full Proof stands out as the best among the Benchmark series. It has a complex aroma of cherry, vanilla, pipe tobacco, and oak. The taste is intense and consists of cherry, pipe tobacco, and cinnamon. The finish is remarkable with a hot cinnamon taste.

Quite the nice pour for $25. Its hot but with plenty of flavor. Best on a cube or in a cocktail.

4 because of the price. i had this taste after back to back stagg jr different batches. very very similar flavor profile. just misses the proofier punch. i dont think you can beat this for the price. and i dont think you can beat it for double the price
