Bernheim 7 Year Original Wheat Whiskey

Cracking this bottle. Tried neat. On the nares it’s like a sour fruit with a warm sweetness with notes of vanilla, cream Brulé, caramel, pears, raspberry cobbler. On the palate it’s very smooth with notes of banana bread, toast, pecans. Honestly.. I can’t believe how low the ratings are here for this delicious bourbon….And people say do not expect complexity but I feel that it is rather complex. Sad o didn’t purchase the second bottle that was sitting there for $30

Don't look to this for complexity. But enjoy the simplicity of a nose like a sweet roll factory. It has a delicate, silky mouthfeel you won't find in another whiskey and a decent finish that satisfies when you just want to enjoy a drink. Even high-proof officianados can enjoy, just don't combine with food or think too hard about it.

Love this. It pairs beautifully with dried fruit, especially tropical fruit. Also pairs with roasted root veg and some cheese. Great just as a dram, and also in a cocktail.

Nothing really stood out in this one for me. Kind under impressed.
