Big Gin McCarthy's Single Barrel is a barrel-aged gin made by Captive Spirits Distilling in Seattle. Using the brand's Big Gin London Dry Gin as a base, it rests for 18 months in former McCarthy's Oregon Single Malt Whiskey casks.
This single malt whiskey is distilled a Clear Creek Distilling and uses 100% Scottish peated malted barley and Oregon oak in its production. Only 46 cases produced and availability is limited to Hood River and Captive Spirits tasting rooms.

"Big Gin's fairly gentle botanical character gets an invigorating lift from the peat-accented Oregon oak cask here. The brooding sweetness from the barrel gives the Juniper and coriander a nice backdrop to play off of from start to finish. Certainly worth a go in a dirty martini. "
