Booker's Bourbon Batch 2023-01 "Charlie's Batch"

Starts vanilla and nutty, then quickly turns spicy, but it's a short lived spice on the finish . For 63.3%, it's fairly smooth, which is why it hits a 4.0 for me

Nose: smells hot Body: dark fruit, mild sweet, dry Finish: long, sits, vanilla Good stuff. wish i could compare it to Teresa’s batch.

Definitely a little spicy, but overall really nice.

Heavy wood barrel and alcohol on the nose, and a deep caramel sweetness. Flavor is a powerful spice kick followed by so much wood that there's bitter tannin notes in there as well. The usual bourbon caramel and vanilla are there, but way in the backseat. I think the flavor is cool but there isnt enough richness to carry it through this proof, its a bit off balance. Still enjoyable.
