Reviewed October 22, 2018Nose is peaty and medicinal with tannic fruit notes. Possibly butterscotch in the background. Upon hitting the mouth there is something sweet maybe that butterscotch but it is overpowered by the peaty, medicinal, tarry flavors of Islay. The fruit is tannic and wine-like. Maybe some dried fruit is present. The finish is long and peaty with some wood and possibly smoke present.
