Bowmore Dorus Mor 10 Year

This time around: grilled peach nose. Peaty dream.

This a fiesty offering from Bowmore. The nose is a light sweet fruit with undertones of buttered nuts. The early palate is slightly sweet pineapple/citrusy flavors with immediate spice and alcohol sensation. Then that trademark Bowmore mellow peat finishes with a little lingering tartness and prickliness. It's not as refined as it's older brethren, but it almost makes up for it with youthful exuberance.

Nose is wet wood, beach campfire with a touch of sweetness. Oily, mouth coating. Dry barley sugar with a faint smoke. Long finish.

Not too peaty, smooth yet robust.
