Reviewed November 29, 2021Beautiful bottle. Maybe I don’t appreciate what they are doing here, but it does not strike me as being anywhere close to being worth the price tag (I docked its rating a point b/c of the price). I much prefer what’s coming out of Westland when it comes to American single malts. There is almost a rancid nose to it. But once I get past it, there is a honey & caramel complexity, almost like a thick blend of chamomile & white tea. -

Reviewed January 20, 2021 (edited October 31, 2023)Nose: A lot of fresh malt mash. Just a bit of dark chocolate or cocoa powder. Some old leather polish but in a pleasing way. Palate: Honey and a malty bread like taste at first sip. As it moves more to the mid-palate it develops more of a dried fruit and burnt sugar note. Finish: Some cinnamon and clove start the finish off but then a cigar box and sweet pipe tobaccos sneak in before fading away. -

Reviewed February 5, 2020 (edited April 7, 2021)Unique in a spirit crafted in the Scottish single malt style made entirely at one US distillery. This is smooth and warm in a very elegant sipping spirit, with ample milk chocolate notes. That's where I cannot decide, it is delicious, but at this price point smooth semi-sweet chocolate and low complexity is not what I look for. That said, a bottle drinks so smooth that it doesn't last, a dram of this demands another.200.0 USD per BottleBreckenridge Distillery: Tasting Room
