An unusual scotch for an Islay. The nose is sweet with hints of fruit. Nice vanilla and more fruit worh a hint of spice. The finish is mild but it lingers.
The mouth feel is boder line creamy.
Overall it is a great sipper and will become a staple in my collection. I don’t think it will hold up in a Rusty Nail but maybe in a lighter cocktail.
Fantastic. Light and sweet on the nose with unmistakable honey. Very easy sipper. Smooth and fruity on the palate. Finish is easy and only a little spicy. This will be in my cabinet from now on.
oaky, cherry & chocolate (sherry?), grains or tobacco, little oily, molasses, briney, floral, salted nuts and pineapple on an oak fire, (smells like bourbon barrels?), almost like it was aged in rum barrels.
