Tastes

Very pale color, nose is dry eraser and supple leather with a hint of smoked acidic fruit. Palette is soft, thin smokey and almost meaty. Finish is dry, acidic and almost tart, almost reminds of the finish from a dry cider or sherried wine.

Aroma is hot and burns the nose. Sherry on the nose, sweet, slightly oak, maybe raisens. Soft on the mouth, sort of sour, light astringency and maybe a touch of star anise. Finish is hotter, and burns once down.

Nose is delicate to almost non-existant. Once it hits the tongue it almost evaporates. Its soft, slightly sweet, peaty, and hot with the finish.

Nose is mostly peat, with short moments of graininess. Palette is heavily peated, whiffs of salt, oak. Finish is hot and stinging, with the finish wheighing heavily towards peat, and earthiness.

Nose is mostly cereal grains, with a light whiff of sweetness. Mouthfeel is hot, and underwhelming with not a lot going on until after you swallow. The finish is flat, hot, and tastes like a young immature whiskey.

Nose is reminiscent of dry chocolate covered cherries. Beautiful amber color. It first touches your palette thick and heavy, somewhat oily even, with light notes of winey character. The heat comes next, with notes of burning wood, drying out in the heat. The finish is where you get a brisk taste of peat, with a sort of mouth puckering tannin that leaves your mouth hot and dry.

Nose is hot. On the pallette it reminds of Wild Turkey 101, spicy, hot, oakey, and feels like im on beautiful porch in American southern whiskey country than across the pond. Not much there for lovers of peat, but an all around hot soicey pour for lovers of a more bourbonesque scotch.

Light nose, slightly hot, somewhat sweet. Strong oak flavor, not a lot of peat, light, and reminds of grainy cereal with subtle floral hints. Finish is all cereal and grains.

Nose is more boozy than clean, small hints of grapes. Hot on the pallette with big oak notes. Finish tastes of prunes, sugar and grains. Tastes slightly rummy, but feels like we are nuzzling up to pirates more than bagpipes.
