Seaweeds, cereal and vanilla on the nose. Orchard fruit, salt-sprinkled honey and lemonpeel on the palate. The finish is short and a little bit bitter. At first, I found the combination of flavours in this unpeated Islay whisky strange, but it is definitely a good dram and worth a try.
Really wanted to like this so I could put that awesome bottle on my shelf. Can't do it, just not interesting enough. No peat, no sherry, just burns from the high proof. I'd like to give the Classic Sherry version a try as well as the Bruich peated, but I could do without this one.
