Decent, but not my favourite. The flavours don’t blend particularly well for me - would prefer a different Islay in its place.

Evokes: an oat raisin cookie left next to the campfire for a few too many hours. Adding water opened it up considerably.

On the nose a light smoke from Islay peat. On the palate, a sweet sherry influence makes it winey, as well a nice fresh red fruits taste. Medium finish.

Color: Burnt Amber Nose: Banana bread, raisin, cocoa, prunes, vanilla, fig, honey Palate: Smooth and slightly sweet upfront, becoming spicy and slightly astringent on the mid and back, lemon, sour Finish: Spicy, lemony, medium length, sour Bottled at 46.3%. Natural color and non chill filtered.

Salty extravaganza. This is the champion of non-peaters. A wonderful change. I loved the fresh take on Islay scotches.
