Hailing from the Kimberly region of Western Australia, Canefire Rum starts with sugar cane grown from the Ord River Valley in Kununurra. From there, it is harvested into an unrefined sugar, brewed with high quality yeasts, and refined again to remove the unwanted phenols, methanol and fusel oils. Canefire rumsare all Australian-developed, grown, owned, made and bottled in Western Australia. Availability limited to Australia.
Gold RumRum that is often aged, but can also just have caramel-coloring added to provide color. No specific type or size barrel required. No set time required for aging for most countries with a few exceptions.
"Heavy and harsh, this rum begins on the nose with a smoky haze of sugars and wooded spices. Roasted minerals mingle through the nose with oil and vanilla beans, back by flowers through the experience. Burnt flavors comes lightly in the front of the palate, soon quelled by a whip of spices and vanilla roasted over wood resin. Caramel fudge settles into place with rich honey and sweet cinnamon taking in a sudden swipe with a cocoa paw. Prickly spices tease the tongue and plays lazily with the sinuses and a smoky haze gradually lifts in a fruity finish. "
