Reviewed September 20, 2024An elegant Hors D'Âge Bas Armagnac from Chateau de Laubade has been influenced rather heavily by the Baco grapes in the blend, along with the Ugni Blanc, Colombard & the Folle Blanche varieties. It has an aromatic birth with notes of candied fruits, spice, prune & rancio; while a rich & complex life led to a long & balanced death. August 2017 -

Reviewed May 16, 2023Really enjoyed this one. Maybe something different to have around for this bourbon drinker. A nice after dinner drink that is very smooth, even for a brandyParis Marriott Opera Ambassador Hotel -

Reviewed September 19, 2020I actually had the Intemporel No. 5 which is supposedly made of brandies aged 20-30 years. Whatever. Nose evolves quite a lot, starts off with big toasty sugar flavors almost reminiscent of a full bodied rum. Then goes into baked pears and more bright apple candy flavors. Taste took me be surprise, was not nearly as sweet as I expected it to be. A touch dry with all the wood tannins, reminiscent of some sweet tobacco leaf with an apple-y and grape candy backing. It feels more like an aged calvados than a grape-based brandy. Pretty great.135.0 USD per Bottle -
