Compared to other blends, I find it quite enjoyable, and considering the price and availability, it will do if you're in a pinch with a lack of single malt choices.
I tried this a while back... It tastes young despite it's 12 years, it's a classic whisky: caramel, unripe apple, simple and sweet, but it surprises you with cashew nuts. Sadly it comes with a certain bitter acid taste, the texture is poor, watery. I'd try and say more, but this whisky wasn't memorable.
I get apples and cashews out of the taste. It reminds me of Crown in the sense that something is masking the depth, like some sharp bitter or salty character is overpowering the rest. Not terrible, but not my cup of tea.
