Update: Ok after everyone trashed this I got another bottle to see if I was crazy, Well its not as good as I remembered but I still do like it slight reduction in score JWB is easily better...........79/100 blend score.... Original:I'm building appreciation for these age statement blends. Very smooth and approachable. I realize many find this bland or boring but I enjoy the simple, silky honey malt flavor. I find no rough or bitter notes whatsoever. Poured neat, noses mild sweet fruit, malt, and honey mixed together forming a singular subtle note. Creamy silky mouthfeel brings light speyside fruit with dense honeyed malt, caramel and a flash of peat. Tasty and smooth delivery without heat or harshness. Finish is medium with caramel malt, light coffee with powdered creamer and drying wood and char. I'm impressed again by a scotch blend. Feel I'm settling into the homogenized flavor and easy ride. Doesn't have the character or nuance of good single malt yet it remains appealing as liquid candy.....I expect to be thoroughly thrashed for this review but thats ok. I like Chivas..there I admit it
