Copper and Vine Brandy
New Jersey, USA
Copper and Vine brandy is made in Camden, New Jersey by Cooper River Distillers. Distilled from pinot grigio grapes, the brandy ages in a mix of rye and rum 15-gallon barrels. It's bottled at 42.5% ABV.
American BrandyProduced in the US, this is usually referring to brandy distilled from grape-based wine. If the producer uses other fruit, it must be stated on the label. If aged under two years in oak, it must state the word "immature" on the label. Beyond that, labels such as VS, VSOP, and XO mean little as the brands themselves dictate what that means to them.

"Copper and Vine brandy could be a good crossover spirit for fans of oaky American whiskeys. Though its time spent in barrels was fairly short, their small size allowed it to take on quite a bit of vanilla and oak character along with a hint of smoke. This somewhat obscures the grape notes of the spirit, but it has a bold fruitiness that contrasts to the sometimes discordant grain-forward flavor of young whiskeys. If it lacks the elegance of a much older brandy, at 85-proof it could still stand up in cocktails. Brandy Old Fashioned, anyone?"
