Copper & Kings Destillaré Intense Chocolat

Introduced to its line of Destillarè liqueurs in 2019, Copper & Kings Destillaré Intense Chocolat is made by adding Caribbean cocoa nibs to a barrel filled with the distillery’s signature American Brandy. This mixture is then allowed to aged for an additional six to nine months. Before being bottled at 90 proof, the liqueur is diluted with reverse osmosis filtered water steeped with cocoa nibs and then sweetened with honey.
Chocolate LiqueursChocolate liqueurs are often dark in color and tend to use real chocolate in its creation. However, artificial flavors can be used. Often neutral spirits are used as the base but any liquor family can be used.
"A deep garnet hue in the glass, there's a beautiful aroma of slightly bitter cocoa, vanilla bean and honey. The palate is a lovely, rounded amalgam of dark chocolate, orange blossom honey, vanilla bean and a touch of raisin. This is less of a dessert liqueur and more of a potent cocktail additive or digestif."
