Corralejo dates back to 1775 in the town of Guanajuato. This añejo is aged 12 months in charred American oak. This mature spirit is packaged in a red bottle, which is the Mexican color of prosperity.

    Distilled from 100% blue Weber agave, it is aged for at least a year in barrels not to exceed 600 liters. Any type of wood is acceptable, but ex-bourbon barrels are most common. Añejo tequilas are also known as "aged" or "extra aged".

Tasting Notes

"This is a much quieter expression when compared to the reposado. The spices and minerality have mellowed considerably, but are still present. Orange spice and red pepper filter in with milk chocolate and vanilla. It finishes smoothly and elegantly."
