Courvoisier VS Cognac

Not good. I bought this because my eggnog recipe called for some cognac. Decided to try it alone since I had it. Now I know it’s only for mixing in drinks

Very straight forward; very plain; grape and oak with a touch of caramel. Hot on the palate. Some sweetness but not much going on. Boring.

First tasting of the evening. 2/5 bottle. Lots of wood and tannic notes. Alcohol taste and alcohol burning in the mouth. A bit of wood in the finish. I want more richness of taste. The smell of burned wood. The nose burns and tickles.
