Daviess County Kentucky Straight Bourbon

An easy sipper. Smooth with a bit of spice. Not a lot of depth. Wouldn’t go out of my way to buy it, but would turn down a pour if offered.

Did not taste like a 96 proof. Smooth. Ok good bourbon, easy to drink. Not much flavor.

Not bad but not great

This is extremely grain-forward on the nose and tongue. It tastes very young. There is a corn sweetness. Simple.

Very complex and easy to drink. Give it a few pours before judging.

Aroma hits with a strong HH vibe and is a nicely balanced delivery of rustic oaky, leathery and darkly sweet notes with some bolder peanut butter and cocoa notes that rise as it opens – a touch of coppery spice adds dimension; Palate starts kind of… meh, but as it opens the spice creeps up over time as do the oak and sweet notes; Finish might be the best aspect with a solid spicy oaky fade.
