Don Julio Blanco Tequila

Delicious. Agave comes through on smell and taste. Very smooth for a blanco.

A good blanco with a huge agave punch. This one was hard to sip, it was clean and crisp but ends with such a huge hit of agave and a bit of burn. It makes a great lime margarita but the regular price of $70CAD makes me hesitant to mix it away.

Earthy/slight pepper

On the nose, lime juice, agave and pepper, very clean. On the palate, lots of sugar, lots of lime, a hint of pear finished with cooked agave. A little bitter and dry on the end. Not bad.

Sweet. Thicker than most tequilas. Smooth and enjoyable.

Very smooth. Price point is a little outlandish as there are several other labels I find to be just as good for half the cost but this is a pioneer and it’s very enjoyable.
