This addition to the Don Q product line is notable for being only the second overproof rum released by a Puerto Rican distillery.

This addition to the Don Q product line is notable for being only the second overproof rum released by a Puerto Rican distillery. The Don Q 151 is a blend of light and dark rums aged a minimum of three years in used American oak barrels.

"The nose is relatively tame for an overproof rum, with notes of vanilla, caramelized sugar and smoke. The high-proof burn asserts itself immediately on the rich palate before offering caramel, coffee, dark chocolate and plantains. The warm, spicy finish lingers with dried fruit, oak and tobacco."
