Reviewed December 17, 2023 (edited December 20, 2023)Really nice nose on this. Circus peanuts. Caramel. Vanilla. Some baking spice. The palate has some kind of vegetable taste to it. Something green, but isn't off putting by any means. There's more of the vanilla and caramel. It finishes with peanut, fudge, and spice. A well above average pour which doesn't quite make it as something I'd drink neat, but will do well with cocktails. -

Reviewed July 11, 2023Bold tobacco flavors followed by spices and a pretty long finish. Pretty much classic bourbon. Some decent complexity. I would love to find the cask strength. -

Reviewed July 2, 2023Smooth. Overall good flavor but, a harshing acridness on the finish giving it a medicinal quality.65.0 USD per BottleDriftless Glen Distillery -

Reviewed June 11, 2023 (edited June 14, 2023)Ruddy copper color. The nose has Tahitian vanilla and cinnamon sugar, along with blueberry jam, marzipan, and fresh baked bread, with hints of citrus and spearmint tea. The mouthfeel is fairly thin, almost effervescent, but it's incredibly easy to drink as a summer sipper. The palate has cinnamon chewing gum and bubble gum up front, then grassy rye spice, cherry cola, burnt cinnamon stick, chocolate malt balls and boiled peanuts. The finish is medium length, led by more of the bubble gum note and rye spice, along with black tea and hints of peanuts, cocoa and barrel char.40.0 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed January 5, 20232022 Total Wine SiB Pick Pours a burnt honey color, oily legs sticking to my glencairn. Nose: Cherry licorice, vanilla, ethanol feel but pleasant red fruit, strawberry cheesecake, sweet. Taste: Grain heavy, dry, honey but no sweetness or fruit that I was expecting from nose. Definite oak and burnt cereal, like roasted Honey Nut Cheerios. Finish: Fairly short, slight pepper, some bitterness. Overall: 3/5, the nose was the most pleasant part of the pour. The taste was “fine” after the expectation of fruit and sweetness from the nose was thrown away, but the finish left too much bitterness lingering as the final note.
