Guessing on batch

I like A120 but it has finished last in my ECBP tastings of recent batches. The alcohol just smacks you full in the face up front, making it difficult to fully appreciate the other, really quite appealing, flavors. The finish is a nice mix of butterscotch and baking spice, but when I go back for more, whack, the alcohol is dominant again. I like my bourbon neat, but the next step is to see if water helps calm it down.

136.6 Proof. You can make this any strength you want. It is a stick to your teeth bourbon. Sweet caramel with a strong oak and nut flavor. As you add a little water it opens the bourbon up, a little citrus note and tobacco. For under $70 and a 12 year bourbon you can’t ask for anything more. Delicious

Red fruits and toffee nose. Soft palate. Some sweet vanilla, orange extra, and butterscotch. Mouth coating. Good old Kentucky hug.
