Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon

Hot damn this is bold. Tons of spice and cinnamon throughout. Leather and oak. Normally I drink my bourbons neat, but decided to toss in an ice sphere to allow it to open up a bit more. This allowed the vanilla to make itself present and a slight hint of butterscotch too. 66.4%

Batch A121. Spicy and oily. A favorite

Batch B521 118.2 proof

Oh wow. This is very much like the small batch but with more intense flavors. Smaller sims needed due to the higher alcohol content, but worth the complexity of flavors that follows. Very well done.

2021 A121 high proof. Smoother than the proof would indicate. Long cinnamon and oak finish. Great pour.

2021 B521 lower proof than the A121. Slightly smoother and less finish. Overall very good. Warming and leathery finish.
