Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel Bourbon

Sweet Corn, Damp Oak, Toasted Marshmellow, Caramel, Honey, Sweet, Medium-Full. Excellent quality.

Pure marshmallow on the nose. Extremely unique Graham cracker with caramel. Getting a buttery popcorn almost on the nose and pallet. Nice lightly spicy mouth feel which is surprising in a good way. Sugary caramel really comes through in the pallet. Very solid all around not overly complex but nice finish.

Heavy Alcohol on the nose with heavy char Super syrup mouth feel with instant baking spice& butter and popcorn like flavor finishing with a heavy butterscotch Like other toasted barrel products this is a super complex pour and not for a whiskey newbie. Love it, if it was easy to get would be a daily drinker for sure.

A taste with don. I got a lot of marshmallow with classic vanilla and caramel. I liked the sweetness. Very little heat or spice in this bottle. I really liked this. 7/3/21 my official tasting notes. Nose: caramel, toasted wheat bread, I was waiting and waiting and after a few minutes the marshmallow broke through. A browned marshmallow over a campfire. Vanilla. Citrus. Oak much later in the dram. Body: medium Palate: caramel, vanilla, little rye, little rye spice Finish: medium to longish Note: tasted neat. Eating twizzlers after a huge steak and potato dinner two glasses brut cuvée and an ounce of EC 1010 pick. Who knows what that’s all done to my palate. This really is a delicious and interesting dram. I’m going to enjoy this bottle. The citrus tone is a little weird. Almost vinegar like but not bad or off putting just a little weird like it’s off with the rest of the creamy aspects.

Strange fake-candy flavors. Too sweet.
