Nose: It’s interesting. I get chocolate covered raisins and cinnamon. With a little Smokeyness.
Taste: I instantly get the caramel up front. Then a nice smooth spice rolls through with a few peaty notes. It has that nice oak flavor. It has a medium to short finish.
Overall: It is a good drink. It has a lot of good attributes of a good drink. I wish that it would be at least 100 proof. That’s just a preference since it generally gives it that thicker/oily mouth feel that has a longer finish. Great release by EC!
You’ve just come back from an early morning hike in November. Inside the cabin your family is getting breakfast ready. As you get closer you smell the wood smoke from the chimney and you open the door to the smell of buttery pancakes with a caramel and whip cream topping. It’s going to be a good day.
The nose is, shocking, like a warm buttery piece of medium well toast. Add to that some caramel and slight coffee, and BAM! What a nose. Crime brûlée is also popping off
Palate: firm caramel and light smoke with a tapering bite and sweetness. Lingers to a syrupy butter
wasn’t a fan at first but after letting it sit a bit, tasted like French toast but like the waffle crisp cereal version.. which i love. Enjoyed it, glad i have it, but probably would choose the barrel proof for $10 more at this price point
