Empress 1908 Indigo Gin

Tried this for the color (I’m sure I’m not alone) and it does make for some pretty drinks. Flavor is a bit sweet and not as complex as I’d like, but very drinkable. Noteworthy for sure if not my favorite I’ve ever tried.

Nice flowery gin. Lower on herbal notes

Aromas include juniper, coriander, grapefruit, cinnamon, and ginger – along with a distinct floral character. That floral character returns in force on the palate, along with the coriander and juniper, followed by the other aforementioned notes in somewhat lesser measure. Oily, round mouthfeel. Quite long on the finish, with very little harshness. 3.50/5.00 – Impressive (neat)

Definite juniper flavor but with a floral undertone. Mixes well with lavender and lemonade, able to hold its flavor. Makes for a fun cocktail and it changes color depending on mixer, purple to blue. Good as a Sunday afternoon cocktail.
