Reviewed June 2, 2024 (edited August 17, 2024)Creamsicle nose. Light, but layers of cherry, oak and baking spice. Delightful finish. This is a steal. Grab it while you can. -

Reviewed December 18, 2023Definitely worth the money! Very, very well balanced bourbon. It’s smooth, sweet and oily. After comparison tasting, that’s the rank list as per my taste: 1. Evan Williams Single Barrel 2. Jack Daniel’s #27 Gold Maple Wood Finish 3. Blanton’s Original Single Barrel 4. Wild Turkey Barrel Proof -

Reviewed June 23, 2023On the nose notes of caramel, burnt brown sugar, vanilla, apricot, and rye spices are present. Further wafts bring out traces of green apple, and unripened melon. Pleasant and welcoming aromas. On the palate much of the notes expressed on the nose are lost and a very simple and uncomplicated caramel, vanilla, and toffee fill the roof of the mouth with the back of the throat hit with a very mild expression of the pepper spices. The finish is fairly quick as well with only the pepper lingering. Overall: Nose 3.5/5: Taste: 3/5 Overall 3.25 Repurchase: No Type: Daily Drinker57.25 CAD per Bottle -

Reviewed March 19, 2023 (edited March 26, 2023)Sub-par. It's not bad, but better exists. I feel like the proof is way too low for this 8 year old whiskey. This is a just boring sip. And the fact it's gone from $25-30 to nearly $40 over the last couple years is a bit ridiculous. This will almost certainly be my last Evan Williams single barrel. I'll pick up Four Roses single barrel at this price point instead. Barreled on 1-21-14 Barrel No. 372 Bottled on 3-30-2237.98 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed January 21, 2023 (edited March 15, 2023)Vanilla, caramel, and floral notes on the nose. First sip offers spicy clove, oak, char, and a hint of peaty. This has a good smokey finish and long legs. The full mouth feel and smooth smoky finish really compliment each other. Ice pulls more smoke and peaty out. I like this one and recommend it.
