As part of the second release of the Expresiones de Corazón, a special blend of tequila was made using agave from Los Altos, Jalisco with brix measured for sweetness before harvesting.
Some were harvested with higher sugar, some with lower.
As part of the second release of the Expresiones de Corazón, a special blend of tequila was made using agave from Los Altos, Jalisco with brix measured for sweetness before harvesting. Some were harvested with higher sugar, some with lower. The resulting blanco was then added to select ex-Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels and aged for several months.

Tequila ReposadoDistilled from 100% blue Weber agave, it is aged from 2 months up to a year in barrels no larger than 20,000 L. Any type of wood is acceptable, although ex-bourbon barrels are most common. Reposado translates to "rested".

Tasting Notes
"A warm and roasty style of reposado, that manages to use the flavors from the bourbon barrel to enhance, rather than hide, the inherent character of the agave. It's more earthy and smoky, rather than sweet, but with spearmint and vanilla notes. A tart minerality and warm spice balance out the caramel flavors, making this the perfect reposado for those who prefer it on the drier side."
