Ezra Brooks 90 Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon

The nose is soft with ripe fruit, peanut, sandalwood, vanilla, mild cinnamon and a touch of butter. It is very soft on the palate, the spiciness only coming out after holding in the mouth for a moment. Buttered bread fills the mouth followed by a serving a ripe fruit, but not enough to overwhelm. Notes of sandalwood and oak hit the very back of the palate and it all comes together in a short to medium finish with a lingering floral rye and buttery creaminess

On sale for $9.99 yes please! Need a lower cost daily to offset higher priced bottles. Had this years ago but didn't remember it at all. Most of the reviewers here approve so I figured I cant go wrong. Poured neat, actually has ok legs not too thin. Nose I get sweet tea with honey and a little cinnamon. Deeper in I get some butter and a light whiff of urethane. Standard mouthfeel leads to caramel and nutty note, strong oak, and peppery spice. Carries good heat throughout but not overdone. Finishes with drying oak and char along with light caramel, melted butter and a trace of cinnamon. Its spicy and a little dry...not my usual preference but I like it. Its quality made, has got some good pop to it, interesting flavor complexity and is an absolute steal. Should sell for double what it goes for. It surpasses Beam White and others for less money. Will certainly purchase again. 78/100..........All this flavor for 10 bucks is outrageous , get some!

I found this and gave it a go. This is among the best value bourbons I've ever had. You can get a handle (1.75L) for around 20 dollars and the taste is smooth although it is a tad weak but that is to be expected at the price point. As long as this thing stays inexpensive this is a great drink for people on a budget.

I found Ezra Brooks a little rough upon first taste. It has a flavor I have trouble putting my finger on, but I might say it's musty corn. Not a lot of sweetness to speak of. It has woody ethonal aftertaste that lingers, but not too pleasantly. Strong astringent taste straight, but more mellow with a little water. Not the best for sipping, but decent as a mixer. Not a big fan of Ezra Brooks bourbon, although I do enjoy their rye.

Best whiskey I’ve ever had for <$21. 90 proof, works in mixed drinks very well. Not bad for sipping.

The best thing this bourbon has going for it is the price. If you like alcohol burn and no flavor then this is the whiskey for you. This will be good to have in your collection for that person that comes over and wants a whiskey and coke.
