Fable & Folly is a whiskey released under the Orphan Barrel Whiskey Distilling Co. portfolio owned by drinks brand Diageo. Master Blender Andrey Mackay has crafted this whiskey from the last remaining stocks of six previous Orphan Barrel releases such as Barterhouse, Forged Oak, and several Rhetoric whiskeys as well as a proprietary whiskey blend, all aged a minimum of 14 years.
The spirit animal on the front is a hybrid of the signature animals from the aforementioned whiskey labels -- a fox, a stag, and a hummingbird, respectively. Available as of April 2022. (SRP $149.

Tasting Notes
"The nose shows some complexity with cooked apples, leather, and pencil shavings in addition to the moderately strong oak and vanilla notes. As you taste you'll find a mouth full of barrel spices and a medium sweetness from the grain and vanilla. The finish shows less sweet with the tannic oak squashing those notes. It's more on the dry and spicy side at the end than the sweet and fruity which you found on the nose. A pleasant dram, particularly if you like the smoked char flavors to linger on your palate. "
