FEW Bottled in Bond Bourbon (2021 Release)

Daveco select: Nose very grain foreard. Some citrus and chicory notes. Palette: sweet up front of caramel, more of that grain, slight herbal finish. Slight bite

Lot’s of the classic bourbon notes done well. Reminds me of Willet Pot Still.

The nose is not very inviting. Strong spicy wood character with a defining finish of corn on the cob. Something is not quite right with this offering, what it is I cannot tell. It’s fun to compare and contrast this to other Few bottles that don’t have to confine to bottled in bond standards. Whether they’ll distill and bottle this again is going to be interesting to me…I hope they held some barrels back and will be releasing a longer aged version, the youth of this whiskey is very apparent.

Great flavor, mixes well. Low heat and comes just before the finish. Has caramel and vanilla notes
