Tasting Notes

"As a "navy strength" gin, FEW's Standard Issue is big in both proof and taste. Its powerful juniper flavor and high alcohol content are balanced by a strong secondary use of fennel, which adds both an anise note and perceived sweetness. This spice quality is significant, and one's enjoyment of the gin likely depends on one's enjoyment of fennel. But it's a well-made gin, and while it breaks slightly from tradition, its unique profile would surely stand out in cocktails."
