I think i'm running into a first world problem that isn't a problem except for my liver and that's a cornucopia of spirts sampling opportunities every time I look around a corner. Already Benriach 8 flight horizontal (Monday), Thursday 6 flight cross distillery sampling and now after the kids cricket practice finished, picking up my wife to do shopping and hello hello free gin samples.
I saw this one and though na looks like sloe I'll avoid but it wasn't and I didn't. Shiraz barrel aging which was awesome I could drink loads straight...red wine and gin...awesome combo...untill the next morning I guess.
Try and buy with confidence (I have no idea where I stole that wanky expression from but hey it sounds appropriate).
Update: I ended up buying a bottle and mixing with various tonics. The recommendation was with citrus but I preferred a more traditional gin flavouring with minimal citrus flavour. Std East Imperial tonic mixed nicely. I still like it but more a 3.75 to4 I'm thinking with tonic. Method and Madness and Roots go better with tonic I think.
Update 2: I think I'm a more traditional gin man as I find myself avoiding this one and reaching for one of the other Gins on my shelf. It doesn't meld as well as other gins with tonic and its no longer one I'd drink straight...novelty wearing off!
