Four Roses Small Batch Select Bourbon

Great summer time whiskey but a little to expensive.

Nose - Lemon custard, orange, vanilla, butterscotch, honest roasted peanuts, and light ethanol. Palate - Burnt orange cream, lemon peel, white pepper, and peanut brittle. Finish is medium with bitter citrus, oak tannins, peanut shells, and light ethanol. My colleague gave me a few airplane bottles as a gift for Christmas. The last time I had this was when it was released. In retrospect, I was a bit harsh. It's an excellent value, and the price has stayed the same while most major distillers have raised prices. It's frequently on sale for $55 in my area. A great change up from the other stuff if you're looking for a different profile.

If chocolate powder was a drink

Nose: light and vibrant smells, cocoa fust and citrus zest. Palate: carmael comes out of nowhere as the first flavor that hots the tongue, inreally didnt get those notes on the nose. Again, thw chocalte theme is there but oretty subtle. Finish: a little astingency with good oak flavors and vanilla frosting. I like this bottle, different from other four roses offerings ive had in the past. It’s fresh vinrant flavors and is not deep rich flavors which is a nice change in pace from other bourbons. This is a good bottle to sip on when you arent trying to have a high octane full proof drink.

On the nose, getting licorice and a slight caramel. Light and sweet up front, followed by some spicy heat that makes my mouth water.

Nose is light, hinting vanilla, caramel and circus peanuts.. In your mouth, it is a cinnamon red hot and mint bomb. Hot with a burn up front but full of flavor. More kick than you might expect from 104 proof. Oak and Baking Spice smooth the finish, which is long and pleasant.
