Reviewed October 12, 2022 (edited October 23, 2022)Continuing my mini Foursquare series is their Indelible, that is a blend of pot and column rums that were matured in a combination of American oak ex-bourbon casks and Californian Zinfandel wine casks for 11 years before being bottled at 48% ABV. The nose is soft and subtle starting with powdered sugar dusted strawberries, pineapple and toasted coconut then caramelized bananas and milk chocolate covered hazelnuts followed by raspberry syrup, mangoes and apricots that transitions to light polished oak with no ethanol burn. The taste is a thin to medium mouthfeel starting with powdered sugar dusted strawberries, pineapple and toasted coconut then a mild spice that quickly fades to espresso, honeycomb and dark chocolate covered hazelnuts followed by raspberry syrup, mangoes and plantain chips that transitions to light leather and polished oak with low ethanol burn. The finish is short to medium length with dark chocolate covered toasted coconut, caramelized bananas, dehydrated raspberries and light polished oak. This is a soft and subtle rum that the Zinfandel casks have imparted light red berries to the tropical fruits along with well-aged oak that the flavors all work harmoniously together but the flavors are unfortunately thinner than I’d prefer. It’s still a delicious, easy-sipping and well-crafted rum that would likely be perfect for anyone looking to try out some craft rums that aren’t bottled at a high ABV. Thanks @ctbeck11 for the generous sample. -

Reviewed May 4, 2022 (edited September 18, 2022)Nose: Faint coconut, molasses, and candied pineapple. Opens to a desserty pineapple upside down cake or something soaked in sugar. Taste: Pineapple and coconut - but indulgent. Like you bit out of a fresh pineapple and chased it with toasted coconut chips. Warming. Slightest hints of vanilla and caramel.
