A somewhat complex rye. Kicks off with a little heat and a flavor and texture i guess is a little woody/caramel. As it mellows i get hints of a little buttery and floral note which is a nice touch.
2023 Flaviar Advent Calendar - Day 7
Nose: caramel, ancho chili, and chemical notes
Palate: vanilla, spicy, charcoal
Finish: a bit harsh and chemical again, but very subtle
N: intense fruit both fresh and dried, supported by soft rye spice and oak.
P: the spice and fruit come together at the front with a rich sweet caramel that follows through to the finish with oak.
One of the best ryes I've tried recently, been trying to get away from MGP. Cheers
