I think the anticipation and hype I had for trying this Campletown put it at a disadvantage. The nose was very muted. I smelled citrus, but it was very subtle. The pallate was complex and fairly good. It was dry, fruity, somewhat spicy, and had a very oaky flavor. The finish was also dry and warm.

I love this Scotch. Really wonderful. Aroma is of cracker and briny sea notes. Flavor is rich, full and complex. Salty pretzel stick, tasted bread, light fruit just below the surface. Water really opens this and produces some menthol and mint. Salt comes farther forward as well.
Finish is big, wide and long. Sticks to your ribs. Lovely
