Glen Scotia 15 Year

Smooth, oily dram - typical for Glen Scotia. Takes time to open in the glass. Salted caramel with citrus peels on the nose, dried apples too. Then, we can feel dried citrus fruits, the salted pretzel, caramel. Lovely whisky!

It took time for this bottle to open up but then it was a lovely salted caramel on nose and palate and charred orange undertones.... so smooth.

Canned peaches in sweet syrup combined with stroopwafel warmed and moistened over a cup of lapsang souchong tea adding a touch of smoke and astringency. Mouth coating and delicious.

Loved the balance of the fruity and smoky notes. Slightly medicinal and citrusy. A delightful dram.
