"From the Valley of the Rocks," natural color and non-chill filtered bottled at 46%. A quality dram from a quality company.
Nose: The nose is wildly fruity and extremely sherried. Behind the sherry there are notes of perfume and honey.
Palate: Light mouthfeel. The sherry is more delicate on the palate but the abv is high enough to drive lots of flavor on the palate. A burst of red fruits give way to a hint of spice. A very well done sherried whiskey indeed.
Finish: Medium short finish. The finish is on the shorter side but carries the beautiful notes of sherry that arise from the nose, follow through the dram and linger on the tongue.
The nose is fruity with notes of citrus and vanilla. The palette is warm and oily with notes of cinnamon and other baking spices. Some spiciness creeps in toward the back of the tongue, followed by slight bitterness. The finish is smooth with the spiciness fading before going down the throat. A pleasant sweetness lingers.
