Hibiki Japanese Harmony

Precision. Honor. Beauty. This whiskey demonstrates all of these qualitifies in perfect - you guessed it - Harmony. Delicate, yet powerful. Elegant, yet commands your respect. Gezellig. Rightly adorned in a breathtaking bottle that reflects the refined and complex nature of this whiskey. I can only hope to one day try the older vintages. It would be transcendent.

The nose is promising, offering honeysuckle, oak, and caramel. Palate isn't even close to living up to it, with some bitter oak, honey, grass, and some ethanol heat despite a very watery mouthfeel. Doesn't make me want to give Japanese whiskey a closer look, especially considering the prices.
