High West A Midwinter Night's Dram Act 11 (All Scenes)

Got Act 11, Scene 4 (smugged, more likely Scene 4 than 5? which is Oct 2023) from Purdy’s Loved. 1st tried was Act 5, Scene 6 (2017 near end of year) All 98.6 proof.

Agree with pro reviewer that nose is light and the fruit is there but light on the palate. However. Let it sit 15 minutes and the nose evolves into brown sugar and rye spice with the red fruit jumping out on the palate. The finish lingers nicely so this one gets high marks. Great finish and no burn whatsoever makes this an easy one to enjoy. Compared it to a brandy finished double rye thats excellent but it has more heat and less of a finish than this one. Nice to see the MWND stand out so well.

Herbal, peachy, orange zest. Lot more rye on the palate

Nose: grape and plums, red wine Taste: thin, cherry and oak Finish: peppery, medium, nice smooth rye

Holy hell. A lot of dark fruits and plum coming through. A really long finish with spice notes all the way down. No burn however, as this drinks like a smooth strong wine. Absolutely incredible experience with rye bourbon. Recommend a buy at msrp and strongly consider on the secondary market if you can find.
