High West A Midwinter Night's Dram

Dark fruit on the nose and front end. The palate transitions to a classic herbal profile and finishes with a touch of both. The herbal rye provides a good foil for the fruity port finish. A really nicely done whiskey, although for interesting barrel-finished eyes, I prefer the Barrell Seagrass.

Nose: mild herbal. Touch of ethanol and almost a synthetic berry note. Palate: strong herbal notes that I get from most rye outside of willet. Willet has more spice to me. After the tongue is coated, the red fruit notes really shine. Finish: oak and leather with additional fruit.

Sweet oak on the nose with hints of vanilla & pears. To the taste buds I get: Smooth spice, oak, cherry. Shared with my friend victor, Overall outstanding!
