Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed December 21, 2024Nose: seasoned oak, apple pie, molasses, ginger snaps Palate: explosion of apple pie, cinnamon stick Finish: seasoned oak comes back, dark chocolate, espresso, leather Never thought id say this but neck and neck with the 2021 release. Jack Daniel's Single Barrel BP "Koi Hill" by BS W&S
Bourbon — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed December 19, 2024Nose: oak, graham cracker, yeasty funk, vanilla ice cream Palate: drinks WAY older than 5 years and WAY higher than 135 proof. Chocolate, more vanilla ice cream, cherry Finish: leather, oak, chocolate. Not much more to it than that, finishes like a bourbon much much older than 5 years 8 on the t8ke scale. This would go toe to toe with any high proof JD bottle. Tastes like a barrel proof version of the 10 year. -

Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 15, 2024“Stained Glass Llama” from Blue Streak 4 year 5 month, Warehouse K, 130 proof Nose: more oak than i anticipated, something about that Brown Forman nose. Honey and allspice Palate: oak and dark chocolate, bright cherry, cinnamon, brown sugar Finish: leather and dark chocolate, dry and tannic Very pleasantly surprised at this pick, tastes closer to a 10 year old bourbon 7 on the t8ke scale -
Nose: mint and basil up front. Typical brown sugar and vanilla underneath Palate: more mint and rye spice. Followed by a bit of oak with lots of dark chocolate. On the thinner side. More viscosity would make a good bottle great Finish: oak and dark chocolate. Nice little apple note at the end. 6 on the t8ke scale
