High West A Midwinter Night's Dram

Act 7 Scene 2 Nose: vanilla, black cherry, grape, rye spice, Palate: oily, grape, vanilla, leather, caramel Finish: long, hot, pepper, oak tannins, subtle chocolate

Act 7 Scene 2. Better than Act 6, but not as good as Acts 2&3. This was definitely an improvement over act 6. The flavors are blended much better and the port finish is only a whisper to my nose and palate. I think High West is well on it's way to creating a wonderful Midwinter Nights Dram with it's own distillate. They aren't quite there, it does still taste a bit young. I can't help but feel they are still a couple of years away from the quality blended flavors in the earlier acts. To all those concerned, the brine flavor of some other High West products is almost non existant in this act. Overall I enjoyed it. P.S. I did buy a second bottle this year. N - Maple syrup, cinnamon, spice P - red berries, baking spice, wood F - Longer than expected, dry

Light start sweet Finnish

Compared to scene 5 this is less port forward. The port flavor is better integrated and the overall balance is more refined. It is also less sweet. I enjoyed this more. Scene 7. Act 1.
