Reviewed October 13, 2016Wow. I'm getting so many flavors that I've never experienced in a whiskey before. The spice and any noticeable burn takes a backseat to a juicy, oily, almost vegetable like profile that's complimented with a nice sweetness. The palate is definitely floral, but not like any other floral whiskey notes I've experienced. I'm guessing the Anise is what I'm experiencing most with this one. That flavor passes with some time, but it's still dominant. After the pour opens up, I'm able to latch on to some of those more traditional rye notes. Overall, an incredibly unique pour that certainly is not going to be loved by everyone. -
