Reviewed February 13, 2015 (edited April 15, 2015)Very spicy but smoothed out at the finish. Very slick, oily mouthfeel to it. I get a hint of burnt cinnamon and earthy/herbal tones as well. It is definitely worth a taste but it isn't my favorite in the $25-40 price range. -

Reviewed February 9, 2015 (edited April 24, 2018)The nose on this whiskey is heavy leather. Like walking in to a furniture store. Followed by vanilla and black pepper. The palate starts with a light sweetness that begins a dance with rye spice. Definitely a lot more complex than I was expecting.
