Highland Park Valfather

Light peat, short finish, a lil sweet caramel.

Definitely a smokey whisky, but it has a good depth to it as well.

Evokes: summer bonfires on a kelp covered beach.

Nose: parmesan cheese, heather. "a mature smell" Taste: smooth. Nut chocolate. Heather

At first, the nose gave me nothing but alcohol and a metallic astringency. The taste wasn’t far off. But after giving it a few minutes to open up, the marmalade and burnt sugar were clear as day, and the astringency morphed into a nice smoky, oaky finish that lingers.

A true chameleon, as deceptive as the man it’s named after. One to be savored. Nose - coffee, chocolate and vanilla Taste - lingering peated smoke that carries you gently to the afterlife

Very heavy on vanilla and caramel. Hints of toasted almonds and slight peat/smoke that lingers.
